Corporal Muhammad Khairi

Yeah. Finally got my corporal Rank after 10 weeks of training. Tiring but Fun at the same time. So yesterday or this morning to be precise we had our 28km route march. We reached at Kranji war Memorial at 630pm where we were taught about the war heroes that died during the war. Then we walk around the graves, tombstones just to look around. Then at around 9pm we had our ceremony to pay respect to the Heroes. We are the first batch to do the 28km route march from Kranji war memorial to pasir Laba Camp.

At 10 pm we started the route march. I brought alot of food. Cakes and Biscuits. Drinks? oh yeah I had 3 litres of H TWO O in my water bag. mampos. With all those heavy field pack load, i still add another 3 litres to the load. haha. I also had a can of Red bull For emergency in case i felt sleepy during the march. Then we moved off. We walk along pavements and cross traffic lights. People nearby were stunned to see 1300 soldiers marching late at night. haha. Yeah it was fun. First time experiencing marching in a civilian world. Then we moved along kranji drain. It was a long walk and it was damn muddy. after 2 hours of walking we headed to Kranji Damp. There we had a lesson on How Japanese came to attack Singapore. From there, you could see Johor clearly. It was a nice place to rest. In front of the sea with the wind blowing. After that we walked into Lim chu kang road. For 3 hours, dogs were barking all the way. Bingit giler. cause there were farms along the road and they had dogs to guard it. Most dogs there were so big that I thought it was a wolf. Really BIG! mcm babi. There is this white dog. The biggest dog i've ever seen in my life:
Khairi:"Eh siallah ape sak tu?"
Zaid: eh siallah besar sak.
Khairi: ape tu?!
Zaid: Baboon lah siol. eh tk...Polar Bear.
At this point i just laughed loudly. Seriously, it was damn big. You should see it.
Then we walk and walk until we entered the Forest where we started to get tired.

There is no building or lights to see. I dunno what path we took but we passed through Serimbun Camp. Then walk all the way to pasir laba camp. Some were really tired and wanted to gave up but we cheer them to carry on. Oh yeah. My uniform were so wet that as if i crossed a river. haha. I was damn tired too. My shoulder were aching.

Walk and walk and walk. We finally reached the camp around 530am. WOO! damn satisfied. Finally we did it. So while waiting for the parade to commence we slept on the road. Mampos ar. I was so tired that i still fall asleep after drinking redbull.

They woke us up suddenly after 1 hour of sleep. It was freaking cold ar. My clothes were wet. And i shiver during the parade. During the parade. they talk and talk and finally our platoon commander paste our Corporal Rank.

The route march was challenging and a good experience.
(Byk nah aku type????)
